A Little History
L. A. Tekkies, LLC was founded in 2001 by David Florence. David was responding to requests from friends, family, and business associates who needed help selecting, buying, installing and maintaining all sorts of technology from computers to Home Theater System and PDAs to computer networks.
David began selling computer solutions over 20 years ago while in high school. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA in 1984, David received a full graduate fellowship in engineering at Virginia Tech. By 1985, David had returned home to L.A. and with some college friends opened two retail computer stores in Santa Monica and Encino.
By 1988, he began consulting to the computer industry. David has worked for such industry leaders as Lucent Technologies, Sun Microsystems, Motorola, Eastman Kodak, Magnavox, Toshiba, Novell, and E-Machines.
In 1990, David returned to school at USC and received an MBA in Marketing and New Venture Management. Now, David is focusing on building up L.A. Tekkies LLC and helping local businesses and residents effectly integrate technology into their lives.
By leveraging David's relationships with technology experts, L.A. Tekkies, LLC can provide advice and support for virtually every type of hardware or software on any type of device -- from personal computers to Home Theater Systems, from PDA to advanced computer networks.
